“Satu...”
“--What?”
“Play with me.”
“…no.”
Solanine looked from her grand stage and pouted, looking at the tiger lying in the distance by this pond as always, taking his 4th nap of the day. “Please Satu? You never play with me.” Her golden eyes became big and glossy, trying to guilt the creature into some action, but his own silver eyes were shut tightly.
“No.” His slow and deep voice seemed to take its time reaching Solanine’s ears, and when the found their destination she let out a moan.
“You’re no fun Satu!! All you do is lie around and sleep!” The girl stepped down from her stage and in one quick step found her way from her stage to Satu’s pond, standing on it with one foot, the other propped behind her. “You shouldn’t even have anything to dream about anymore!”
“I do. A world without you.” Satu raised his head to let out a large, growling yawn, before sitting it back down on the grass. Solonine pouted once more, sitting down angrily on the usual dead body floating in the body of water.
It wasn’t too long after the body spun around once or twice that Solonine’s beloved stage coming to life, curtains opening slowly to reveal Vespera sitting in the middle. “Ves-chan!!” Once again, before anyone could blink, Solonine moved from the pond into Vespera’s body, colliding with her in a flying hug. “I don’t even need you anymore,” The spirit stuck out her tongue at the grump tiger. “Ves-chan will play with me.”
“I don’t know about that one Ni.” The captain looked at her vividly bright spirit who took a sudden change in mood, rolling over onto her back in complaint, disrupting the puppets hanging around her. Vespera pushed one of the puppets, one of her older brother, watching as it bumped against all of the other puppets of people she met since discovering her reiatsu.
“Neither of you are fun. I don’t even know why I stick around.” She rolled her head to gaze at the Shinigami, seeing her poke the various puppets slowly. “What’s wrong Ves-chan?”
“I wonder how I can make it stop, laying all of these lines and strings.” Vespera held up her fingers, looking at the tiny, invisible lines attached to her fingers that she was able to gaze upon while she was on Solonine’s stage.
“Why, have you grown some kind of conscious or something?” The girl asked cutely, rolling over onto her stomach, tail flipping back and forth. “You know those things are so not fun to have.”
“It’s not that, it’s just that you’re running out of room up here, I can barely get here without tripping all over the puppets.” An object was soon glinting in her vision grasped by her gleeful spirit, inching towards the strings of her lieutenant puppet.
“Well you know how to solve this problem.” The scissors clipped once along side of the string teasingly, but Vespera grabbed them up before Solonine could clip them. “See, conscious? No fun.”
“If Vespera does not wish to off one of her subordinates simply because you need more room on that horrid stage, then that is her wish.” Satu sauntered over to the woman, sitting down in her lap like he was a little cub. Vespera winced, pushing the tiger onto his back and rising to her feet. With a quick step she landed on the body in the middle of Satu’s pond, sighing and spinning around. “Why have you come to us, you desire more training?”
“Of course. We need to be more psychically powerful. My kido is wonderful and my healing is near flawless in terms of the flawed word, but when it comes time to draw the sword I get weaker. All my abilities involve healing, I need a way to protect myself.”
Solonine jumped to her and preformed a hand stand using Vespera’s head as a platform, looking down at her. “But, aren’t you boinking the Captain of Squad 11? It seems like a perfect arrangement, get him to protect you.” Vespera tilted her head upward, Solonine sliding down to rest on her forehead.
“First of all, we’re not ‘boinking’, if that holds the terming I believe it does.” The Captain began, looking back down and letting Solonine fall to the surface of the pond, lingering on the surface like it was made of glass. “Secondly, I need an eternal assurance of my protection, I’m not sure how long us together is going to last, especially with new information on my front.”
They were all gathered by the body in the pond when Satu sauntered back over and laid back in his usual spot, eyes focused intently on the woman. “So I’m training harder than I did when I had to learn your names.”
“Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuun!” Solonine cooed, crawling back onto land. “So what are you plotting Ves-chan?”
"The same thing Greyhand was plotting." She replied slowly, earning her a hop and a skip from Solonine. "This time I know who's pulling who across the stage, this will be far easier for me."
