“Perfect.” Vespera smiled, watching Yuchi send out the tiny black messenger butterfly, fluttering off to wherever she intended her instructions to go. “I’m glad you’ll join me. I know a cozy place not too far from here, if you’ll follow me.” With that, she started in the direction of her old village not too far from where they stood with the intent of going to Sandri’s. Though it served as a bar in the evening, the woman did a fine job of keeping it up as a tea house during the day.
There was a small gathering inside the wooden building, but not enough to distract the owner’s attention when her sister-in-law walked in. “Good day sister-in-law.” Sandri was walking around between the tables, setting down various pots and cups that were order. “Looking beautiful as always. Were you on another date?” Vespera nodded, moving to a small round table close to a window. “How goes the search?”
“None of them are husband material. Not a one.” A sigh escaped her lips as her body settled into the seat, hand resting in her lap. “Status isn’t the problem, but I don’t want a marriage based on status. I rather have one built on the already hasty concept of love, but apparently that’s out of the question.” Sandri rested her hand on Vespera’s shoulder, rubbing it comfortingly. “A nice big pot of the usual please.”
The bar woman nodded, fishing a pad out of her dark green kimono so she could take the order of Vespera’s guest. “Welcome!” Sadri bowed to Yuchi, smile warm on her features. “Is there something I can brew you up?” She didn’t keep menus around, since typically she just concocted whatever her patrons asked for.

Yuchi gazed up at Vespera's sister-in-law with friendly blue eyes but not a trace of a smile appeared on her lips; it wasn't that she was unfriendy, far from it, just that she couldn't really remember ever having smiled much.
"Peppermint tea if you have any, please," she asked for politely.
Looking around the small teahouse she allowed herself to relax, it was unlikely she would see anyone out here - much less her superiors who would berate her for not wearing Shinigami uniform or her haori.

Sandri smiled at the woman, writing down her wish with a pen that was tucked into her purple ponytail, a style that was similar to Vespera’s own practice. “Peppermint tea it is! And a giant pot of green tea with honey for my drained sister-in-law.” The pad went back into her simple one colored kimono before she started towards the back. “I’ll be back with you ladies in just a little while.”
“I hope you like Sandri’s tea. I do believe she makes the best, but I might be a little bias in my opinion, seeing as she’s married to my younger brother.” Vespera looked out the window with a smile, watching some familiar faces from her younger days walk past the opening. She would have sighed peacefully but she came to her breathing once again. Setting a hand on her obi her eyes rolled upwards, wishing she could go about her ‘dating’ business in more casual clothing.
“But Captain Nakamura, I was wondering if you could tell me a little about yourself.” Vespera looked at her with a smile. “I know we’re acquainted on a work level but I do wish for us to have a more personal connection.” She strived for this with most all the captains, but she really did want to get to know Yuchi, since their jobs were similar in some aspects.

Yuchi shifted a little uncomfortably; she was more than happy to be the person others came to with their troubles, in fact it happened fairly frequently, but she was atrociously bad at opening up about herself.
"Facts about myself..?" she mused aloud, face taking on a calculating look as though examining a particularly interesting speciman.
"I am five feet tall exactly, I weigh 8 stone 4 pounds, my blood type is AB- and I am highly allergic to sake."
She nodded to herself, that information seemed sufficient for the beginning; any more and it sounded like she was trying to overload the healer with information.
"Of course," she admitted grudgingly. "If this is not the type of information you require you may have to ask more specific questions, but I will answer them..."

Vespera listened to Yuchi speak about herself, eyes slightly widened. What made her choose that particular route of answering was beyond her, but she supposed she could have been a little clearer in her request… even if it was what she typically asked…
“That last little note comes in handy actually.” The woman thought aloud with a smile and a soft laugh. “I know now I shouldn’t invite you out for drinks. And I can stick it in my little medical file.”
Soon Sandri returned with two pots, one slightly larger than the other, and set them in front of the women (the larger settled thankfully in front of Vespera) along with 2 clay cups, bowing before she went back to handle the other customers. “I was thinking more along the lines of… what your interest or if you have a hobby. What you do when you’re not overly bogged down with the responsibilities of a Captain.” Like always, Vespera could just learn about her in time, but she was curious as to what the other woman would tell her.

Yuchi took her time pouring her own tea, eyes intently fixed on the steady stream of hot liquid as she tried to overcome the irrational nervousness of 'polite conversation'.
"Well," she finally said. having taken all the time she could without looking like she was rude. "I don't get a lot of time off as I always have something to do in the labs; other than that I spend most of my time with Homura or ... working at my other job.."

Homura was a little surprised when a hell butterfly flew into his private lab, his surprise quickly tuened into shock when he heard the message.
In Rukongai with fourth squad taichou. It said.
He quickly stopped what he was working on and shunpo'd to Rukongai. When he arrived he houned in on Y'chi's spirit power and found her in a tea house happily enjoying a cup of peppermint tea.
"Taichou? Are you all right?" he asked letting himself be known.

Yuchi looked around in surprise at the familiar voice, she was shocked at herself for being so unnerved by this situation she hadn't even felt Homura's reiatsu approach.
Smoothing down the ragged kimono she was wearing she once again wished she was looking more presentable in Shinigami robes and her haori, instead of like a Rukongai resident.
"I'm fine, Homura."
She turned to Vespera and gestured for Homura to sit down.
"This is my Fukutaicho, Tuesti Homura.....what are you doing here, Tuesti-kun?" Her tone was friendly enough but Homura would catch the disapproval in her voice and the nuances behind the honorific.

Standing even straighter than before at the fact she had used his last name, he mind could not figure out what he had done wrong.
"Your hell butterfly had me worried Taichou." He explained declining the offered seat.

Vespera nodded. “I see. It’s understandable; we’ve all been a bit busy these days.” Her own plate was full, which was odd since everything ‘seemed’ oddly peaceful. She was shocked at how badly some of the Shinigami could hurt themselves in just a friendly spar. Not to mention all of her research for her medications.
She was a bit surprised to see a man arrive at their table, halting the cup that was being raised to her lips to look at him. He referred to Yuchi in such a way that let her know instantly that he was her lieutenant. Did she use that butterfly to send for him? “It’s a pleasure.” She said, setting her cup down and bowing briefly. Vespera’s hands wrapped around the cup once again, sipping the steaming tea gladly.
The woman let the two have their talk, but her previous question was answered with Yuchi wanted to know what the male was doing there as well. The fact that her message worried him also made her curious as to what it said exactly. But she left her kitten like curiosity alone, pouring herself a bit more tea.

Yuchi's face softened as she realised Homura had actually been worried about her, come to think of it she had sent a fairly abrupt message.
"I guess I should have explained rather than just say I was in Rukongai with the Fourth Squad Captain," she admitted sheepishly.
Hoping that would do for an apology for Homura she turned back to Vespera and patted her ragged kimono in sudden horror.
"I'm terribly sorry, I came out without any money...."

"Some times you can be a real scatter brain." Homura chuckled as he shook his head.
Placing a few coins down in front of the two ladies, he slowly walked out of the tea house.

((I’m sorry I ditzed out on this, my mind has been in 400 million different places))
Vespera eyed the coins that the lieutenant left upon the table, sipping more of the transparent green liquid in her clay glass. “You can take those back to him if you want.” The captain said, looking up at Yuchi. “All the drinks I get here are put on my tab and I pay the bill off every month once I get paid. It’s a lot easier that way.” Unraveling a hand from her cup she inched the currency to the other woman.
“It’s nice to sit like this and get away from some of the other obligations around.” Her sigh was one of pleasantry as her eyes drifted back to the open window. “The only other time I can relax is when I go to the Shinigami Woman’s Association meetings, but of course we’ve been postponed until a new meeting place can be established.” Blinking in thought, Vespera turned back to Yuchi. “Please forgive me if my memory seems insulting, but were you around before we went on hiatus?”

Yuchi watched Homura leave the tea-house, thankful he hadn't demanded to know why she wasn't in the lab in the middle of the day or why she was dressed in civilian clothes. She was equally grateful he had been polite to Vespera as he had a nasty habit of jealous tendancies.
She nodded in response to Vespera's question a little shame-facedly.
"I was there before the hiatus, unfortunately I attended very few sessions as I usually lost track of time in my experiments or found important data to be recorded when the meetings were on."

Homura only ventured outside of the building, he lent up against the outer wall within hearing in case he was needed.
Glad to be out of the tea house the silver haired man sighed and shook his head, he didn't understand how people could enjoy drinking flavored boiled water.
